About Us
Vision
Our vision is to: speed up cancer diagnosis and prognosis through AI/Bioinformatic pathways.Â
Objective
Our objective is to: carry out cancer- and AI-related research, document our findings through a peer-reviewed paper, present the results at conferences, and access research grants to support the work.
Mission
Our mission is to: to make significant strides in cancer and medical research using cutting-edge AI pathways.Â
research Areas
We specialise in pioneering research at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and biomedical research.
Biomedical AI
Advancing Healthcare through AI-Driven Diagnostics and Treatment Optimisation
Bioinformatics
Decoding biology’s complexities via computational analysis for groundbreaking insights
Drug Repurposing
Harnessing existing drugs for new medical solutions and accelerated innovation.
Achievements
Our research group is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and fostering innovation in the fields of cancer research, artificial intelligence, and bioinformatics. Through our collaborative efforts and commitment to excellence, we have achieved notable successes in various domains. Below are some of our significant accomplishments.
Why CaresAI?
In this podcast with Mindful AI, Mary Adewunmi (founder of CaresAI) delve into the reason for the medical research group, CaresAI.
The research group was born out of a personal motivation, a painful family experience with medical misdiagnosis. She also explained the vision behind CaresAI, which is to build relevant and generalisable AI models that can be deployed across races.
She emphasised that empathy and accountability should guide every stage of medical AI model design, from data collection to clinical deployment in real-world applications.Â
Through this philosophy, CaresAI is redefining what it means to develop a medical AI model: not just powerful and accurate algorithms, but systems built with compassion, trust, and purpose.
